Spinejaw

The Spinejaw is a feathered, predatory creature native to Everwind's Jungle biome, recognizable by its elongated jaws lined with sharp projecting spines and the vivid feathers that fan across its back and neck. Spinejaws are aggressive on sight and are particularly dangerous because they hunt in coordinated groups of three to five individuals, using pack tactics to surround and overwhelm prey from multiple angles.

As an aggressive pack hunter, the Spinejaw's true danger comes from numbers rather than individual raw power. A lone Spinejaw is manageable, but an ambush by a full group of four or five can quickly become fatal even for well-equipped players. They strike quickly and reposition after each attack, making them difficult to track without strong situational awareness. The jungle canopy provides cover for their approach, often limiting warning time.

Spinejaws drop two valuable resources: Spinejaw Leather and Spinejaw Feather, both useful in mid-to-high-tier crafting recipes. Leather from Spinejaws is among the more durable organic materials available in Zone 2 and beyond. Players clearing Jungle biome content should stay near cover they can use to funnel Spinejaw packs, preventing the full group from engaging simultaneously. Pulling one or two away from the pack before the group aggros is the recommended approach.
