Green Woodcap

Green Woodcap is a pale to medium green mushroom with a smooth, slightly convex cap fading to cream toward the edges, representing the distinctive green-hued variant of the Woodcap mushroom family found in Everwind's Forest biome. Its coloration sets it apart from its sibling Brown Woodcap, and careful observation of cap color is the easiest way to distinguish between them in the field. Like its relative, Green Woodcap grows near decaying wood and among the leaf litter of established forest floors.

Green Woodcap shares culinary utility with Brown Woodcap and can be used as an ingredient in Mushroom Stew and Spicy Mushroom Stew, contributing a subtly different flavor profile to dishes compared to the earthier Brown Woodcap. In the alchemy system, its green-tone may align with growth, nature, or regeneration effect tags, opening different potion combinations at the Alchemy Station than its brown counterpart. Players who collect both Woodcap varieties will have more flexibility in both the kitchen and the alchemy lab.

Green Woodcap grows in the same Forest biome habitats as Brown Woodcap, appearing near fallen logs, shaded tree roots, and mossy stones. The two Woodcap variants often grow in proximity, making it easy to collect both during a single Forest mushroom run. As with all Woodcap family fungi, Green Woodcap respawns at moderate rates, ensuring a sustainable supply for players who visit Forest gathering areas regularly.
