Heatcore Regulator

The Heatcore Regulator is a compact thermal management device housed in a ribbed ceramic casing, designed to monitor and control heat flow within an airship's environmental systems. Its internal bimetallic sensing element responds to temperature fluctuations, automatically throttling heat output to maintain safe operating ranges. The distinctive orange-tinged ceramic body makes it easy to spot among a player's crafting inventory.

The Heatcore Regulator is a required crafting ingredient for the Heating Unit at the Fabricator station. The Heating Unit is indispensable for survival at high altitudes, where temperatures drop dangerously low and can inflict hypothermia debuffs on the player. Without a properly calibrated Heatcore Regulator, the Heating Unit cannot maintain stable warmth output, leaving crew and cargo vulnerable to cold damage during extended high-altitude travel.

Heatcore Regulators are crafted using ceramic shards and refined copper components, both obtainable in mid-game zones. They may also appear as drops from mechanical enemies or inside supply crates found in arctic and mountain biomes. Players planning extended journeys into high-altitude regions should craft spare Heatcore Regulators before departure, as Heating Unit failures at altitude can quickly turn fatal if no replacement is available.
