Sharpness

The Sharpness Fragment is the foundational crafting component for the Sharpness rune line, serving as the starting unit in the upgrade chain rather than a socketable combat rune in its own right. It does not provide a direct combat effect when held but instead represents the raw material investment that feeds into progressively more powerful rune sizes. Understanding its role as a crafting ingredient rather than a finished product is essential for efficient rune management.

Sharpness Fragments are obtained through standard rune acquisition methods, including mob drops, chest rewards, and dungeon spoils throughout Everwind. To upgrade a Fragment to a Small rune, five Sharpness Fragments are combined with five Runalit crystals at the Rune Crafting Station, following the universal rune upgrade formula. This Fragment-to-Small step is the first of several in the chain: Fragment, Small, Medium, Big, Huge, and Perfect.

Players who are building toward the higher rune tiers should prioritize hoarding Sharpness Fragments rather than discarding or selling them. The five-plus-five recipe means progression through the chain is multiplicative: reaching a Perfect rune requires a substantial number of Fragments at the base. Combine Fragment farming with Harvest potion runs to increase Runalit crystal yields so both halves of the crafting recipe scale up simultaneously.
