Wild Magic is a Tier 4 Arcanist skill that introduces powerful but unpredictable spell effects when casting. When Wild Magic triggers, it can unleash effects far beyond what normal spells are capable of, including massive AoE blasts, temporary invulnerability, or extreme elemental surges. The trigger chance and power of Wild Magic effects scale with rank, with higher ranks increasing both how frequently it activates and how dramatic the outcomes are.

Wild Magic is thematically and mechanically related to Unstable Magic at Tier 1, and combining both skills creates an extremely high-variance combat style where every spell cast is a potential game-changer. It pairs unexpectedly well with Greater Healing, since the ability to sustain through Wild Magic's occasional adverse effects removes the downside risk while preserving all of the upside. For players already using multiple elemental masteries, Wild Magic surges interact with whichever element is currently being cast, potentially amplifying fire, ice, lightning, or poison effects.

Wild Magic is best suited for players who embrace chaos and are comfortable with unpredictable outcomes in their gameplay. It is less suited for careful, methodical playstyles but excels in builds that can capitalize on the random powerful outcomes. Players who invest in Wild Magic should prioritize high-mana-throughput builds that cast frequently, increasing the number of Wild Magic proc opportunities per encounter.
