Ground Blocks
Ground
Ground Blocks are a versatile category of building blocks in Everwind designed primarily for flooring, foundation work, and terrain shaping within player-constructed bases and settlements. They come in a variety of material textures, giving builders control over the visual character of their floors, pathways, and ground-level surfaces. Ground Blocks are crafted at the Block Station and serve as the literal foundation upon which more complex architectural projects are built.
The diverse texture options within the Ground Blocks category allow players to differentiate functional areas of their base visually, using different floor materials to mark crafting rooms, storage areas, living quarters, and outdoor pathways. Their structural role as foundations means they are typically among the first blocks placed during any new construction project, and bulk-crafting them at the Block Station before beginning a build is standard practice. Some Ground Block variants require specific materials tied to biome resources, rewarding exploration with more decorative flooring options.
Plan your base layout on Ground Blocks before raising walls and roofing, since adjusting the floor plan later requires dismantling significant portions of your structure. Combining different Ground Block textures to create visual zones within a large open-plan base not only looks appealing but helps orient you quickly when navigating your home. Pair Ground Blocks with Roof Blocks to complete the structural shell of a weather-resistant building, and use Fence Blocks around outdoor ground-level areas to define perimeter boundaries.
