Fence Blocks
Fence
Fence Blocks are partial-wall construction pieces in Everwind used to define perimeters, contain animals, and create open-air enclosures that maintain visibility while still providing a physical barrier. They are crafted at the Block Station and represent a more specialized construction option compared to full wall blocks, filling a niche role in both functional base design and aesthetic landscaping. Fence Blocks are particularly important for players who engage with Everwind's animal husbandry or farming systems.
Unlike full-height wall blocks, Fence Blocks provide partial obstruction that enemies can see and shoot over while still being blocked from passing through, creating interesting tactical considerations in base defense design. They can be used to channel enemy movement toward chokepoints defended by Trap Blocks, adding a layer of strategic depth to perimeter fortification. Their material requirements at the Block Station are typically lighter than comparable solid wall options, making them an economical choice for outlining large enclosures or property boundaries.
Use Fence Blocks to create secure animal pens and farm plots near your base without the resource cost of full walls, while still maintaining line of sight into the enclosed area for management purposes. In defensive applications, combining Fence Blocks as outer perimeter guides with Trap Blocks positioned at key entry points creates an effective layered defense without requiring a fully walled enclosure. Mixing Fence Blocks with Stone Blocks or Metal Blocks in a compound wall design adds both visual interest and varied defensive properties to your base perimeter.
