Pocket Crafting is the most fundamental crafting method in Everwind, requiring no station or special equipment whatsoever. It represents the first thing a newly spawned player can do to survive: combining raw materials directly from the inventory to create primitive tools and items. This bare-bones system is intentionally limited, serving as the gateway into the deeper, station-based crafting progression that defines the Everwind experience.
The recipes available through Pocket Crafting are restricted to the earliest survival necessities, such as the most basic tools needed to gather resources and progress toward building a proper Crafting Station. Because it requires no placed structure, it can be performed anywhere in the world at any time, making it invaluable in emergency situations when a player is far from their base. However, the item catalog is intentionally sparse, pushing players to invest in a Crafting Station as quickly as possible to unlock the full crafting tree.
New players should treat Pocket Crafting as a launchpad rather than a long-term solution. The moment you have gathered enough materials, prioritize placing a Crafting Station to dramatically expand what you can build. Keep in mind that even in the late game, Pocket Crafting remains accessible as a fallback option, so understanding which recipes it supports can save your life during expeditions far from home.
