The Crafting Station is the first placeable crafting structure in Everwind and a foundational milestone in every player's survival journey. It expands the limited recipe pool of Pocket Crafting dramatically, unlocking the ability to craft Wood-tier weapons, armor, and a broad range of essential early-game items. Placing your first Crafting Station signals the transition from desperate survival into deliberate base-building and progression.
At the Crafting Station, players gain access to Wood-tier gear including swords, shields, and basic armor sets that provide crucial early protection. The station itself is crafted from common gathered materials, making it accessible right after the opening minutes of a new game. While it does not handle metalworking or advanced processing, the Crafting Station bridges the gap between Pocket Crafting and the more specialized stations like the Smithing Station and Carpenter Station that come later in progression.
Place your Crafting Station inside or near a protected shelter as early as possible, since it is frequently needed for iterative upgrades to your gear. As you advance, keep the station accessible alongside your Furnace, since many Crafting Station recipes require smelted ingots produced there. Progressing through Wood-tier recipes at the Crafting Station will naturally point you toward building a Smithing Station for Stone and Iron-tier equipment.
