Dungeon
Underground Cities
3
The Underground Cities are Everwind's most complex dungeon structures, sprawling multi-room networks buried beneath the Desert biome at Zone 3 elevations between 900 and 1800 meters. Unlike single-path dungeons found in earlier zones, each Underground City is a labyrinthine complex with branching corridors, hidden chambers, and multiple enemy factions guarding caches of endgame loot. Reaching these cities requires a fully upgraded Airship Core capable of sustaining flight at Zone 3 altitudes, making them strictly endgame content.
The primary draw of the Underground Cities is their concentration of Desert-exclusive resources: Gold Ore, Magic Liquid, and rare crafting components used in the highest material-progression tiers. These resources feed directly into maxed-out Warrior and Arcanist skill tree upgrades, as well as the most powerful weapon and armor recipes in the game. Players should expect to navigate multiple enemy encounters in each room before reaching the resource caches at the city's heart, and backtracking to resupply mid-run is common on first attempts.
The cities themselves are architectural relics of the pre-Desert civilization, their sandstone walls carved with murals depicting a society that mastered both engineering and magic before its collapse. Experienced players recommend mapping the layout of each Underground City on first entry, as the branching structure means it is easy to miss entire wings on shorter runs. Pairing a strong Warrior build for room clearing with Arcanist utility spells for trap detection and movement efficiency is the preferred strategy for extracting maximum resources per visit.
