Gold Ore
Ore
Gold Ore is an extremely rare and precious metal found exclusively in Zone 3 (900-1800m), making it the highest-altitude ore in Everwind. It appears as brilliant golden veins within the deep rocky formations of the upper mountain regions, glittering distinctly against the surrounding stone. Reaching Zone 3 is itself a substantial achievement, and finding Gold Ore deposits within that hostile high-altitude environment represents a major milestone in late-game progression.
Gold Ore is smelted into Gold Ingot at the Furnace, producing one of the game's highest-value crafting materials. Gold Ingot is used in premium crafting projects that require the best materials available in the game's progression system. Its rarity and zone restriction make it a prestige material, reserved for the most advanced crafting recipes and high-tier items that cannot be made from lower-grade metals.
Because Gold Ore only appears in Zone 3 and is relatively scarce even there, every vein should be mined completely when discovered. Scouting the Zone 3 environment systematically is more efficient than wandering, as gold nodes tend to cluster in specific geological formations. Ensure you have strong enough gear and survival supplies before farming gold, since Zone 3 enemies and environmental hazards are considerably more dangerous than those in lower zones. Gold Ingots should generally be reserved for the most important late-game crafting projects.
