Fly Agaric
Mushroom
Fly Agaric is the iconic red-capped mushroom with a white-spotted scarlet cap and a tall white stipe ringed by a skirt-like veil, making it the most visually striking and instantly recognizable mushroom in Everwind's Forest biome. Its bold warning coloration signals its toxic nature in the real world, and in Everwind it retains this dangerous mystique while serving as a potent alchemy ingredient. Fly Agaric grows singly near birch and pine trees in mature forest areas.
Fly Agaric is not a culinary mushroom and should not be used in Mushroom Stew or Spicy Mushroom Stew recipes without understanding its effects. Instead, it is a powerful alchemy ingredient whose effect tags may relate to confusion, illusion, or potency-amplifying properties at the Alchemy Station. Combining Fly Agaric with Toxic Mushroom and Darkshroom alongside Magic Liquid is a logical trio for players experimenting with dangerous or debuff-inflicting potion recipes.
Fly Agaric spawns near mature trees in the Forest biome, typically appearing singly rather than in clusters, which limits per-run yields. Because of its distinctive red-and-white appearance, spotting Fly Agaric from a distance is straightforward once players know its habitat. Handle stocks carefully in the inventory: while Fly Agaric is not itself interactive in storage, its alchemy applications are potent enough to warrant dedicated organization separate from cooking mushrooms like Brown Woodcap or Porcini.
