Stone Axe

The Stone Axe is one of the earliest melee weapons and gathering tools in Everwind, crafted from stone and wood during the game's opening survival phase. As a tool, it is used to chop down trees and harvest wood more efficiently than bare hands. As a weapon, it provides a modest damage option for players who have not yet crafted a dedicated combat weapon.

The Stone Axe occupies an important role in the technology progression, sitting just above the most primitive tools and providing a bridge to better equipment. Players who focus on the Warrior skill tree's melee-oriented skills will quickly move past the Stone Axe toward Bronze and Steel weapons, but the axe remains useful as a gathering tool throughout the early game when wood is in high demand for construction and crafting.

Crafting the Stone Axe requires stone fragments and a wooden handle, both of which are abundant in the Starting Meadows and easily gathered during initial exploration. Players prioritizing wood harvesting for base construction will want to upgrade their axe as quickly as resources allow, since more advanced axes dramatically increase the speed and yield of wood gathering operations.
