Wooden Torch

The Wooden Torch is one of the earliest light sources available in Everwind, crafted from basic wood and a flammable material to produce a handheld flame that illuminates dark environments. Dungeons, underground passages, and nighttime exploration all become significantly safer with a torch in hand, revealing enemy positions and hidden items that would otherwise be missed.

While the Wooden Torch is the most primitive light source and will eventually be replaced by lanterns, spirit-charged torches, and other advanced lighting tools, its importance in the early game cannot be overstated. Players descending into their first dungeon without a light source face a significant disadvantage, and the Wooden Torch provides the necessary illumination at essentially no crafting cost.

Torches in Everwind also have potential uses beyond simple lighting: they can be placed as markers along dungeon corridors to help players retrace their route, used as improvised fire sources for crafting interactions, or wielded as makeshift weapons in emergencies. The Wooden Torch is thus both a survival tool and a versatile utility item that earns its place in every player's starting kit.
