Acceleration

The Acceleration rune adds 5% attack speed for 5 seconds every time the player lands a hit, creating a stacking speed buff that rewards continuous weapon contact. Rapid weapons benefit most from this rune, since each hit refreshes or extends the buff window, effectively maintaining near-permanent attack speed enhancement during sustained combat. The stacking nature means the rune performs exponentially better with fast attack patterns than with slow, heavy hitters.

Acceleration starts at the Small size and is upgraded using the standard Rune Crafting Station formula: five Acceleration runes of the same tier plus five Runalit crystals yield the next size up. Higher tiers increase either the attack speed percentage, the duration of the buff, or both, making progression through the chain highly worthwhile for speed-oriented builds. Fragment-level components feed into Small runes, which eventually chain up through Medium, Big, Huge, and Perfect.

Acceleration is the natural partner for the Rune of Swiftness, which provides a flat 15% attack speed bonus, since the two together create an attack speed stack that dramatically increases damage per second with fast weapons. Pair both with the Battle Feast rune to generate stamina from the rapid kill pace that high attack speed enables. Arcanist builds that use rapid-fire staff abilities also benefit from Acceleration since the hit-per-second rate of certain spells can maintain the buff with ease.
