Leather Chestplate

Chest

Leather Chestplate is a Leather-tier chest armor with 7 DEF and 250 Endurance, a substantial leap from all Cloth and Wood alternatives. The doubled or quintupled Endurance compared to earlier chest pieces means dramatically less maintenance during extended dungeon runs. It occupies the chest slot and supports rune sockets, making it one of the most versatile mid-game chest pieces in Everwind.

Crafted at a Smithing Station using Leather materials harvested from wildlife or purchased from traders, the Leather Chestplate requires no skill unlock beyond basic crafting knowledge. It sits between Wood tier and Copper tier in the armor progression, and represents the last chest piece before the Advanced Armors skill (Warrior Tier 4) becomes required for further upgrades. Players without that skill will use it as their ceiling for some time.

Leather Chestplate is a cornerstone piece for mid-game builds of every archetype: Warriors use it while farming the resources needed to unlock Advanced Armors, and stealth-focused characters appreciate the mobility that Leather affords. Pairing this chest piece with Leather Gloves, Leather Boots, and Leather Helmet creates a cohesive full-Leather set with consistent Endurance across all slots. The rune socket slot makes it well worth the crafting investment.
