Armor
Shabby Shoes
Legs
Shabby Shoes are a Cloth-tier leg armor piece providing 2 DEF and 55 Endurance, the starting footwear for most Everwind survivors. They cover the Legs (Boots) slot with the absolute minimum in protection, barely keeping the wearer's feet from the rough terrain of the starting zones. No skill is required to equip them.
Like all starting Cloth gear, Shabby Shoes are part of the initial loot pool and cannot be crafted at a Smithing Station. They represent the lowest tier in the boots slot, with no competing Cloth boot variants at this stat level. Transitioning to Wooden Boots (4 DEF, 125 END) should be a priority in the early game for any build.
Shabby Shoes are most notable as the starting point from which every character builds their leg slot progression. For stealth builds pursuing Backstab-enhancing rings like the Voidband Ring, upgrading boots quickly is important since the legs slot contributes to overall survivability that keeps you alive long enough to use those bonuses. Leather Boots and Copper Boots are the main near-term upgrade milestones.
