Metal Blocks
Metal
Metal Blocks represent the highest tier of construction material available in Everwind, offering maximum structural durability and the strongest resistance to enemy damage and environmental forces. Crafted at the Block Station from Iron and Steel ingots produced by the Furnace, they are the definitive building material for players who have reached the late game and want to secure their base investments with the toughest available construction. Metal Blocks are a clear statement of progression and a mark of an established, well-supplied base.
The iron and steel variants within the Metal Blocks category reflect the material duality of high-tier Everwind metalworking, with Steel variants offering the greatest durability but also the highest material cost. Their recipe at the Block Station ties Metal Block production directly to the output of the Furnace and the efficiency of the player's ore-gathering operations, meaning that expanding a metal-clad base requires sustained investment in the mining and smelting supply chain. Metal Blocks are also used in airship construction alongside Hull Blocks, connecting base-building and aerial vehicle crafting in a shared material economy.
Reserve Metal Blocks for the most critical sections of your base: exterior perimeter walls, vaulted storage rooms, and any structure housing the Fabricator, Rune Crafting Station, or other high-value stations. Using Metal Blocks selectively alongside Stone Blocks for less critical areas lets you balance maximum protection where it matters with resource efficiency elsewhere. As your Furnace and Drill output scale up in the late game, transitioning progressively more of your base to Metal Blocks creates an increasingly formidable fortress that can withstand even the most aggressive raid scenarios.
