Stone Blocks
Stone
Stone Blocks are a mid-tier construction material in Everwind offering substantially greater durability and structural integrity than Wooden Blocks, making them the preferred choice for permanent base structures and fortified defensive works. Crafted at the Block Station from various stone types gathered during mining and exploration, they come in multiple variants that reflect the visual diversity of Everwind's geological environments. Players who invest in Stone Block construction are rewarded with bases that are significantly more resistant to environmental damage and enemy assault.
The upgrade from Wooden Blocks to Stone Blocks marks a meaningful shift in base-building philosophy from provisional shelters to permanent settlements. Stone Block recipes at the Block Station require mined stone resources rather than logged wood, tying their production to the player's mining activity and encouraging deeper engagement with Everwind's underground environments. Stone Blocks are a stepping stone toward the highest-tier Metal Blocks, and many players use them as a durable intermediate material while accumulating the Iron and Steel needed for full metal construction.
Begin replacing the exterior walls and perimeter structures of your base with Stone Blocks as soon as your mining output supports it, prioritizing the most exposed and raid-vulnerable sections first. Different stone type variants allow for aesthetic variation in large stone structures, and mixing them can produce striking architectural effects. Keep the Block Station supplied with a reserve of stone resources so you can ramp up Stone Block production quickly when a new construction phase begins or when repairs after an enemy raid are needed.
