Wooden

Wooden Blocks are the foundational construction material in Everwind, providing players with an accessible and quickly produced building option from the earliest stages of the game. Crafted at the Block Station from the various log types gathered across Everwind's diverse biomes, they come in distinct visual variants including Bogwood, Forestwood, Rotwood, and Tropicalwood. Each variant carries unique coloration and texture, enabling players to create structures with distinct regional aesthetics or to mix styles for more visually complex builds.

As the most basic construction block category, Wooden Blocks are less durable than Stone Blocks or Metal Blocks but require far fewer resources to produce, making them the default choice for early base construction and rapid expansion. Their recipe at the Block Station is straightforward, consuming logs of the appropriate wood type alongside basic binding materials. Wooden Blocks form the structural basis of most early-game shelters, crafting rooms, and storage facilities before players accumulate enough Stone or Metal resources to upgrade critical sections.

Use Wooden Blocks freely for interior walls, floors, and non-critical exterior sections of your base, then selectively replace exposed or high-priority areas with Stone Blocks or Metal Blocks as your supply of those materials grows. The biome-specific wood variants make them excellent for thematic builds: Bogwood creates a dark swampy atmosphere, Tropicalwood produces vibrant warm-toned structures, and Forestwood offers a classic natural aesthetic. The Carpenter Station complements Wooden Blocks by producing finer wood-based furniture and decorative pieces that complete the interior of any wooden structure.
