Horror

Mortivar

The Horror is an anomalous undead entity associated with the Mortivar's darkest territories, a spectral or reanimated creature of extreme fragility paired with terrifying offensive potential. Unlike the organized soldiers of the Mortivar military, the Horror appears to be a more primal undead manifestation, driven by instinct rather than tactical doctrine. Its presence in the darker corners of Mortivar-controlled zones creates an unpredictable hazard that demands immediate player attention upon encounter.

The Horror is statistically unique among all enemies in Everwind: it carries only 1 HP, making it destroyable by almost any single attack, yet it deals 12 to 13 damage per hit and rewards 0 EXP on defeat. This combination makes the Horror a pure danger entity rather than a progression target; its value to the player is entirely negative, and there is no experience incentive to engage it beyond self-preservation. Any attack will eliminate a Horror instantly, but the priority is avoiding its strike, as the damage output at 12 to 13 per hit is substantial relative to early player health pools.

The Horror's 0 EXP yield suggests it exists outside the normal enemy economy of Everwind, functioning more as an environmental hazard or lore element than a conventional combat encounter. Its association with undead zones links it thematically to the Wraith, another non-standard entity found in high-altitude undead territories. Players who encounter Horrors should strike immediately and continue moving; there is no strategic benefit to lingering in areas where they spawn. The Horror drops no known trophies or crafting materials, reinforcing its role as a purely punitive encounter element rather than a farming target.
