The Mortivar Lord is the supreme commander of the Mortivar forces occupying the floating islands of the Russet Forest zone, a terrifying and ancient being of immense power found within the Forest Dungeon at altitudes between 400 and 1000 meters. Clad in ornate but battle-worn armor that has been restored and re-broken many times over centuries of conflict, the Mortivar Lord exudes an aura of authority that keeps even the most aggressive of its soldiers in check. Its eyes glow with cold, intelligent malice, and it fights with the measured precision of a supreme military commander.

The Mortivar Lord is a multi-phase dungeon boss that undergoes dramatic shifts in its combat behavior as the fight progresses. Early phases favor calculated melee strikes with powerful, well-telegraphed attacks that punish greedy offense. As HP drops, the fight opens into more chaotic territory: the Mortivar Lord summons Immortal Mortivar Lord Guardians and Mortivar Executioner Cutters as adds, forcing players to split attention between the primary target and a pressure of dangerous supporting enemies. Managing add spawns is critical to surviving the later phases.

The Mortivar Lord drops the Mortivar Lord Skull, a unique crafting material used as an ingredient in airship upgrades, making it one of the more functionally important boss drops in the game beyond simple equipment. Players engaged with airship progression cannot skip this encounter. The Forest Dungeon also represents the heart of Mortivar territory, so clearing it contributes to broader Zone 2 campaign completion. The Forest Ent patrols the surface of the Russet Forest above, meaning players may encounter significant wildlife danger even before reaching the dungeon entrance.
