Mortivar Swamp

Mortivar

The Mortivar Swamp is a regional variant of the standard Mortivar Warrior found exclusively in the Swamp and Cemetery biomes, where the Mortivar civilization's presence takes on a more oppressive and environmental character. Adapted to the murky, decayed terrain of swamp zones, these undead-humanoid soldiers blend into the rot and mist of their surroundings more naturally than their forest counterparts. Their appearance in Cemetery biomes also ties them to the broader necromantic underpinning of the Mortivar faction's lore.

Mortivar Swamp units deal 5 damage per hit at a flat rate and carry 50 HP with a defense range of 0 to 19, rewarding 35 EXP on defeat, a slightly higher yield than the standard Mortivar Warrior's 30 EXP, likely reflecting the hazardous terrain context of the encounter. Their stats are otherwise comparable to the base Warrior, meaning fire-element weapons remain the most effective approach given the Mortivar faction's -10% Fire weakness. The Parry Master skill from the Warrior tree is equally applicable for managing their attack patterns.

The Mortivar Swamp variant reinforces the Mortivar civilization's claim over multiple biome types beyond the forest, demonstrating the faction's adaptive occupation of diverse terrain across the floating islands. Players exploring the Swamp and Cemetery biomes will encounter these units alongside environmental hazards that make prolonged fights riskier than in open forest areas. The slightly elevated EXP reward over the standard Mortivar Warrior makes Swamp zones a reasonable early farming option. Like all Mortivar units, the Mortivar Swamp shares the faction's elemental profile: -10% Fire, -5% Electric, +5% Ice, +5% Poison. Skull trophies are obtainable as usual.
