Mortivar Warrior

Mortivar

The Mortivar Warrior is the backbone infantry unit of the Mortivar civilization and the most commonly encountered enemy in Mortivar territory across the floating islands. These undead-humanoid soldiers form the rank-and-file of the Mortivar military, armed with bone weapons and crude ancient-material armor, and are found throughout forest areas, near encampments, and at the outer perimeter of Forest Dungeons. New players will face Mortivar Warriors as their first introduction to the faction's combat style.

Mortivar Warriors deal 5 damage per hit at a flat rate and carry 50 HP with a defense range of 0 to 15, rewarding 30 EXP on defeat. Their balanced but modest stats make them straightforward encounters individually, though in groups they can quickly overwhelm players who do not manage positioning. Fire-element weapons are the optimal choice given the faction's -10% Fire resistance penalty, and the Warrior skill tree's Parry Master ability is ideal for learning the timing of the Mortivar Warrior's attack rhythm before progressing to tougher Mortivar units.

The Mortivar Warrior serves as the entry-level benchmark for understanding Mortivar combat mechanics, and mastering engagements with Warriors directly prepares players for the more demanding Mortivar Vanguard, Mortivar Guardian, and eventual dungeon encounters. Warriors frequently appear alongside Mortivar Archers and Mortivar Commanders in patrol groups, creating tiered combat scenarios. Like all Mortivar enemies, Warriors carry the faction's elemental resistances: -10% Fire, -5% Electric, +5% Ice, +5% Poison. Skull trophies drop from Warriors and are among the first crafting-relevant collectibles players will accumulate.
