Scrapcorne Skitter Rustworn
Wildlife
The Scrapcorne Skitter Rustworn is a rusted, mechanically-altered variant of the Skitter creature family found in Everwind's Zone 2 environments. Unlike its organic kin the Barrelback Skitter and Timberbarrel Skitter, the Rustworn's carapace has been partially replaced or overgrown with corroded metal components, giving it a hybrid appearance that suggests either deliberate modification or long exposure to a metal-rich environment. Rust and oxidized plating cover much of its body.
The Scrapcorne Skitter Rustworn shares the same core stats as the Timberbarrel Skitter: 25 HP, 19 DEF, and 5 damage per attack, making it a neutral-tier threat that only engages when provoked. Its armor values remain identical to other Skitter variants, meaning the same joint-targeting tactics apply. It rewards 25 EXP on defeat. Despite its intimidating industrial appearance, it is not notably more dangerous in combat than its natural counterparts.
The Rustworn designation hints at a connection to the Desert biome's iron and scrap aesthetic, and its metallic plating may relate thematically to the Sand Crawler and Desert Skeleton Iron gear found in Zone 3. As part of the Skitter family, it shares ecological overlap with the Barrelback Skitter and Timberbarrel Skitter, and all three variants may drop similar insectoid crafting materials. Collectors and lore enthusiasts will note this creature as an example of how Everwind's wildlife adapts to, or is transformed by, its surrounding environment.
