Skeleton King

The Skeleton King is the supreme undead ruler of the Swamp Cemetery Dungeon, the dungeon boss of Zone 2's most harrowing subterranean challenge. Towering above his lesser subjects in ancient, enchanted plate mail corroded by centuries of swamp damp, the Skeleton King commands the entire undead garrison of the Cemetery biome through sheer necromantic authority. His hollow eye sockets burn with a fierce green light, and the ground trembles faintly beneath each heavy footfall as he advances on intruders who dare desecrate his tomb.

The Skeleton King is a multi-phase boss fight that escalates in ferocity as his HP depletes. In his first phase, he fights with powerful melee strikes and occasional bone-summoning slams. As the fight progresses, he calls upon Skeleton King Elite Guards as adds, flooding the arena with dangerous melee undead that must be managed simultaneously. Ignoring the guards risks being overwhelmed; ignoring the King risks catastrophic damage from his increasingly powerful attacks in later phases.

Defeating the Skeleton King yields some of the most valuable rewards in Zone 2: the Skeleton King Chestplate, a unique-tier armor piece with 25 DEF and 500 Endurance, and the Rune of Swiftness, a powerful mobility-enhancing rune. These drops represent a major gear milestone and are essential for players pushing into more demanding content. Players who have cleared the surface skeleton patrols including Skeleton Champions, Skeleton Bonecrushers, and Initiate Skeleton Warriors will be best prepared for this encounter.
