Bogwood Log
WoodLog
Bogwood Log is a dark, dense hardwood harvested from trees in the Swamp and Cemetery biomes. This wood has a heavy, waterlogged character with a deep brown-to-black coloration that reflects the murky, decayed environments it comes from. Players exploring the low-lying swamp regions and the eerie Cemetery biome will encounter Bogwood trees growing in damp, shadowy conditions.
Bogwood Log is processed into Bogwood Planks at the Carpenter Station or Processing Station, which are then used in a range of construction and crafting projects. The dense nature of bogwood makes it suitable for structures and items that benefit from its weight and durability. As a darker, heavier wood variant, Bogwood Planks can add a distinct visual aesthetic to player-built structures compared to lighter woods like Forestwood.
Farming Bogwood Logs requires access to Swamp or Cemetery biomes, which may not be immediately available to new players in the Starting Meadows. Plan dedicated logging runs to swamp areas when you need a supply of this wood type. Bogwood trees are often clustered in low, wet areas, so following waterways and low-elevation terrain into the Swamp biome is a reliable way to locate them. Bringing a quality axe improves log yield per tree and makes harvesting runs more efficient.
