Forestwood Log
WoodLog
Forestwood Log is the most common and widely available wood type in Everwind, harvested from trees throughout the Starting Meadows and the Russet Forest biome. It is the first wood material most players will gather, given that it grows abundantly near spawn areas and in the primary overland biomes encountered during early progression. Forestwood has a medium brown color and a straight-grained texture typical of temperate forest trees.
Forestwood Log is processed into Forestwood Planks at the Carpenter Station or Processing Station, which are used extensively in early and mid-game construction projects, furniture, and a wide variety of crafting recipes. As the baseline wood material of the game, Forestwood Planks appear as a component in more crafting recipes than any other wood type, making it a material players will use continuously from the earliest stages through the mid-game.
Because Forestwood is so abundant in starting areas, players should establish a steady logging routine early on and keep a large stockpile of both raw logs and processed planks. The Russet Forest in Zone 2 extends the availability of Forestwood into mid-altitude regions, ensuring the supply does not completely dry up as you progress. Prioritize building your Carpenter Station or Processing Station as early as possible so you can convert logs into planks efficiently. Forestwood Planks are a universal material and nearly impossible to have too many of.
