LongHammer

Log Hammer is a Wood-tier long hammer in Everwind, constructed from a heavy section of log bound to a long wooden handle for use as a two-handed bludgeoning weapon. It represents one of the earliest viable options for players who prefer the heavy hammer playstyle, craftable at the Crafting Station or via Pocket Crafting with basic wood materials. Despite its simple construction, the weight of the log head delivers more raw impact than lighter Wood-tier weapons.

The Log Hammer requires no skill unlock to equip and provides one rune slot for permanent enhancement. Life Steal is a practical choice given the slow swing rate of long hammers, as each hit needs to deliver maximum value. The weapon's endurance is limited by its wooden construction, but it serves its purpose as an accessible two-handed option in the earliest game phase. Upgrade Station enhancement up to +10 is technically available though rarely prioritized at this tier.

Log Hammer is most useful in the very opening hours of a playthrough when other two-handed options are not yet available, providing a taste of the long hammer's high-impact, low-frequency combat rhythm. Its Wood-tier nature means it is replaced quickly once Stone-tier crafting opens up. Players committed to the long hammer category will progress through Stone Hammer and Stone Pounder before reaching the ScrapSteamer Metal Maul and Copper Maul in the metal tiers.
