Patched Worn Clothes
Chest
Patched Worn Clothes are a Cloth-tier chest piece offering 3 DEF and 55 Endurance, representing one of the basic starting outfit options available in Everwind. While statistically similar to the rag variants, their 'clothes' framing hints at a slightly more civilized origin, as though salvaged from an abandoned homestead rather than stripped from a defeated foe. They occupy the chest slot with no equip requirement.
These clothes require no unlocked skills and are sourced from early zone loot or starting inventory depending on character spawn conditions. They share the same DEF value as the rag-tier chest pieces but match Shabby Rags on Endurance at 55. Upgrading to a Modest Outfit (4 DEF) or Everyday Attire (4 DEF, up to 75 END) should be a first-session goal.
Patched Worn Clothes suit any build in the opening moments of a run but contribute nothing to long-term survivability. Pair them with a scavenged wooden shield or a basic melee weapon to offset their lack of protection. Once the Leather Chestplate becomes attainable, the entire cloth chest lineup becomes obsolete for combat-focused characters.
