Armor
Wooden Helmet
Head
Wooden Helmet is a Wood-tier head armor piece with 3 DEF and 125 Endurance, the first crafted upgrade for the Head slot in Everwind. Its wooden construction offers reliable early protection without requiring any skill unlock. The Head slot is important for overall defense, and even 3 DEF here contributes meaningfully in the opening hours of play.
Crafted at a Smithing Station using wood and binding materials, the Wooden Helmet is among the earliest pieces of armor a player can produce. It pairs with Wooden Chestplate, Wooden Gloves, and Wooden Boots for a full early Wood set. Leather Helmet (4 DEF, 250 END) is the natural upgrade once Leather materials become available.
Wooden Helmet works for any build early in the game. Warriors will quickly replace it upon acquiring Copper Helmet (6 DEF) after unlocking Advanced Armors (Warrior Tier 4), while more exploration-focused players might source a Forest Ancient Metal Helmet (9 DEF) from the Russet Forest as a large jump in protection. Either way, this helmet is a worthwhile crafting investment before those upgrades arrive.
