Mortivar Archer
Mortivar
The Mortivar Archer is a ranged combatant belonging to the Mortivar civilization, an ancient undead-humanoid faction that has claimed dominion over Everwind's floating islands. Clad in crude armor fashioned from ancient materials and armed with bone bows, these skeletal marksmen are deployed at the perimeter of Mortivar encampments to suppress approaching players before melee units can engage. They present a moderate threat and are most commonly encountered in forest areas and near dungeon entrances.
Mortivar Archers deal 6 damage per hit at a flat rate and carry 40 HP with a defense range of 0 to 15, rewarding 28 EXP on defeat. Their ranged attacks can interrupt player actions and chip away at health before a fight even begins in melee range. Fire-based weapons exploit the Mortivar faction's -10% Fire resistance, making them the fastest option for clearing Archers quickly; the Warrior skill tree's Parry Master ability is less useful here, so players should prioritize closing distance or using ranged counters.
Mortivar Archers work in concert with front-line units such as the Mortivar Warrior and Mortivar Vanguard, providing cover fire while heavier combatants absorb damage. Like all Mortivar enemies, they share the faction's elemental profile: -10% Fire vulnerability, -5% Electric vulnerability, and slight resistances to Ice (+5%) and Poison (+5%). Archers drop Mortivar skulls as trophy items, which serve as decorative collectibles and crafting components used by players progressing through the game's construction systems.
