Mortivar Warden Squire

Mortivar

The Mortivar Warden Squire is a heavily armored defensive squire-class unit within the Mortivar civilization, trained to hold ground and protect key positions within the Mortivar's forest dungeon strongholds. Alongside the Mortivar Bonecrusher Squire, the Warden Squire represents the elite tier of squire combatants, but where the Bonecrusher specializes in overwhelming offensive force, the Warden Squire is built for containment and positional defense. They are encountered in the deeper sections of Forest Dungeons, where their presence signals proximity to high-value areas and boss chambers.

Mortivar Warden Squires carry 120 HP and deal 6 damage per hit at a flat rate with a defense range of 0 to 20, rewarding 90 EXP on defeat. Their damage output is consistent rather than spectacular, but their high HP pool means engagements will be prolonged without optimal weapon choices. Fire-element attacks are essential for rapid takedowns given the Mortivar's -10% Fire weakness, and the Parry Master skill from the Warrior tree is valuable for interrupting the Warden Squire's defensive guard-and-counter pattern, which can punish impatient players who swing recklessly.

The Mortivar Warden Squire and Mortivar Bonecrusher Squire share identical HP and EXP values, reflecting their parallel training within the Mortivar's squire program, but the Warden's lower damage output compared to the Bonecrusher's 11 to 12 range suggests a deliberate design split between offensive and defensive roles. Players progressing toward the Mortivar Lord boss encounter will need to clear Warden Squires efficiently to maintain resource reserves for the boss fight itself. Like all Mortivar, Warden Squires share the elemental profile: -10% Fire, -5% Electric, +5% Ice, +5% Poison. Skull trophies are collectible drops.
