Fiber
Fiber
Fiber is a raw plant material harvested from herbs, grass, and various plants found throughout all zones of Everwind. It appears as coarse, stringy plant material gathered by hand or with harvesting tools from flora scattered across meadows, jungle undergrowth, swamp vegetation, and other biomes. Fiber is one of the most universally gathered materials in the game, present from the very first moments of play through late-game exploration.
Fiber is the foundational raw material for the entire textile crafting chain. It is processed into Thread at the Processing Station, which is then used to make Rope and Cloth. This three-step chain from Fiber to Thread to finished textile means that every cloth and rope product in the game ultimately traces back to Fiber harvesting. Players who neglect Fiber gathering will find their textile crafting supply completely blocked, as no substitutes exist anywhere in the chain.
Developing a habit of harvesting Fiber during all exploration activities is the single best practice for keeping textile production running smoothly. Fiber grows in most biomes and regrows over time, making it a renewable resource that rewards consistent collection. Process Fiber into Thread in batches at the Processing Station rather than letting raw fiber pile up in storage. Keeping Thread and Rope stocked alongside raw Fiber ensures that you always have both the raw and processed forms ready for whatever crafting projects arise.
