Thread
ProcessedMaterial
Thread is a basic textile material produced from Fiber at the Processing Station. Fiber itself is harvested from herbs and plants found across the various biomes of Everwind, making Thread a material rooted in natural resource gathering and processing. The resulting thread is a fundamental ingredient in the game's cloth crafting system and one of the earliest processed materials players will learn to produce.
Thread is used in cloth crafting recipes, serving as the primary intermediate material between raw Fiber and finished Cloth. It also appears in other crafting recipes as a binding or textile component. As the gateway material for cloth-based gear and items, Thread production is a routine activity for any player who wants to develop their armor and clothing options beyond the earliest stages of the game.
Maintaining a steady supply of Thread requires consistent Fiber harvesting from herbs and plants during regular exploration. Players should develop a habit of gathering Fiber whenever they pass through biomes where it grows, as the material is consumed continuously in both Thread and Rope production. Processing Fiber into Thread at the Processing Station in batches is more time-efficient than small individual runs. Keeping a well-stocked reserve of Thread on hand prevents textile crafting from stalling at inconvenient moments.
