Rotor
MechanismPart
The Rotor is a multi-bladed spinning component machined from lightweight alloy, designed to generate airflow or mechanical thrust depending on the system it powers. Its wide, aerodynamically curved blades are balanced to minimize vibration at high rotational speeds, and the central hub features a universal mounting socket compatible with both engine and ventilation applications. The silvery sheen of the alloy blades makes the Rotor one of the more visually striking mechanism parts.
The Rotor serves as a crafting ingredient for both the Engine and the Cooling Fan at the Fabricator station. In the Engine, it contributes rotational force to the propulsion assembly alongside the Drive Piston. In the Cooling Fan, it generates the sustained airflow required to prevent system overheating during prolonged high-output flight. Because two separate airship components require the Rotor, players should craft multiples when resources allow.
Rotors are produced at a forge using alloy ingots, which are smelted from ore found in mountain and underground biomes. They can also be salvaged from derelict mechanical structures scattered across the world. Given the Rotor's dual-component demand from both the Engine and Cooling Fan, it ranks among the most frequently needed mechanism parts throughout the airship construction process.
