Advanced Armor (Arcanist)

Advanced Armor (Arcanist) is a Tier 4 Arcanist skill that unlocks Copper and Bronze tier light armor options specifically suited for spellcasting builds. Mage-type armor in Everwind balances physical protection with magical bonuses such as spell power increases and mana efficiency improvements. Without this skill, Arcanist-path players are restricted to early-tier armor that provides no magic-oriented bonuses.

Advanced Armor (Arcanist) synergizes with Magic Protection at Tier 1 and Elemental Resistance at Tier 5, since higher-quality armor amplifies the protective bonuses those skills provide. For hybrid Warrior-Arcanist builds, players who have also taken Advanced Armors from the Warrior tree gain access to the widest range of armor options, enabling versatile mixed defense configurations. The advanced light armor sets unlocked here are also ideal base pieces for Rune Specialist socketing.

Pure Arcanist builds should invest in Advanced Armor (Arcanist) at Tier 4 to ensure they are not wearing outdated low-tier armor in mid-game zones. The magical stat bonuses on Copper and Bronze light armor sets directly improve spell effectiveness, making this a damage-relevant unlock as well as a survivability one. Players should transition to the new armor tier immediately after unlocking this skill, replacing all outdated pieces for maximum benefit.
