Steel Ingot

Ingot

Steel Ingot is one of the most advanced crafting materials in Everwind and is produced by combining Iron Ingot and Coal at the Furnace. It is a crafted alloy, not smelted from any single ore, and represents the pinnacle of metalworking accessible through conventional furnace crafting. Dark and exceptionally strong, Steel Ingot is the material of choice for high-tier weapons, armor, and mechanical components in the late game.

Steel Ingot feeds into the most powerful non-magical crafting recipes available in Everwind. Its applications span weapons, armor, advanced tools, and mechanical components, making it one of the most broadly useful materials in the entire crafting system. Because both Iron Ingot and Coal must be supplied in quantity to produce steel in volume, the logistics of steel production require planning across both Zone 2 and Zone 3 gathering activities.

The two-ingredient requirement for Steel Ingot means players must farm both Iron Ore and Coal in parallel and route both through the Furnace. Coal is primarily found on Rotten Island within Zone 2, while Iron Ore extends from Zone 2 into Zone 3, so coordinating gathering runs across both sources is key. Build dedicated storage for both Iron Ingots and Coal near your Furnace to streamline steel production. Steel Ingot is expensive to produce in large quantities, so prioritize its use for the highest-tier items and avoid wasting it on projects that could use lower-grade materials.
