Hull Block

HullBlock

Hull Blocks are the structural building blocks of the Everwind airship, forming the physical frame and body of the vessel that houses and protects all other airship components. Just as Ground Blocks and Stone Blocks form the skeleton of ground-based structures, Hull Blocks define the shape, size, and protective capacity of the airship. They are a fundamental material requirement for any airship construction project, and their quantity and arrangement determine the spaciousness and defensive resilience of the vessel.

Hull Block crafting draws on the same high-tier metal materials used for Metal Blocks in ground construction, tying airship production into the same Furnace and Drill supply chain that powers late-game base building. Their structural integrity rating affects how much damage the airship can absorb from aerial combat, hostile wildlife, and zone-transition stress. Hull Blocks also provide the mounting surfaces and enclosures into which all other airship components including the Engine, Cockpit, Energy Generator, Heating Unit, Cooling Fan, and Balloon are integrated.

Plan your Hull Block layout carefully before beginning airship construction, since the size and shape of the frame determines how many components you can house and how efficiently Pipe connections can be routed between them. Prioritize protecting the Airship Core and Energy Generator within heavily Hull Block-reinforced sections of the vessel, as losing either component during combat would strand the airship. Upgrading to stronger Hull Block variants as your metal supply scales up through the Drill and Furnace pipeline progressively increases the airship's survivability during dangerous high-altitude zone traversals.
