Iron Ingot
Ingot
Iron Ingot is one of the most strategically important crafting materials in Everwind, produced by smelting Iron Ore at the Furnace. Dark grey and dense, Iron Ingot represents a major power jump from copper-tier materials and is the base component for a full suite of advanced equipment. Reaching sufficient iron production is one of the defining milestones of mid-to-late game progression.
Iron Ingot is required for crafting Iron-tier weapons (requiring the Master Weapons skill) and Iron-tier armor (requiring the Master Armor skill), both of which represent substantial upgrades over earlier equipment tiers. Crucially, Iron Ingot is also one of the two components used to create Steel Ingot at the Furnace, combined with Coal. Steel Ingot is among the most advanced crafting materials in the game, making Iron Ingot indirectly essential to end-game crafting as well.
Players should unlock the Master Weapons and Master Armor skills as early as possible once iron becomes available, since having the ingots without the skills means being unable to craft the gear. Because Iron Ingot feeds both direct iron equipment crafting and Steel Ingot production, demand for it is high and a large stockpile is always useful. Mine Iron Ore and Coal together in Zone 2, and route all of it through your Furnace systematically. Efficient iron management is one of the clearest signs of an experienced Everwind player.
