Steamwire Coil

The Steamwire Coil is a tightly wound spool of copper-core conductive wire coated in heat-resistant insulation, purpose-built for the high-voltage demands of an airship power system. Its amber-colored sheathing and dense winding density distinguish it from ordinary wire coils found in basic crafting recipes. The coil's design accommodates both electrical transmission and thermal management, making it a specialized engineering component.

Steamwire Coils are essential ingredients in crafting the Energy Generator at the Fabricator station. The Energy Generator supplies power to all electrical airship systems, including the Cooling Fan, Heating Unit, and instrument array, so a well-wound Steamwire Coil is foundational to a fully operational vessel. Players cannot substitute ordinary wire for this component, as only the Steamwire Coil meets the conductivity thresholds required.

Players can craft Steamwire Coils using copper ingots and insulating fiber gathered from plant resources like Cane or Bamboo. They are also available as loot in advanced industrial ruins and underground vaults. Because the Energy Generator is required before many other systems come online, prioritizing Steamwire Coil production early in the airship progression arc will save considerable time later.
