Airship Component
Energy Generator
EnergyGenerator
The Energy Generator is the electrical power source of the Everwind airship, supplying the energy required for advanced onboard systems including the Engine, Cooling Fan, Heating Unit, and other powered components. Without a functioning Energy Generator, the electrical systems of the airship cannot operate, reducing the vessel to a non-functional hull. It is a required component for any airship intended to traverse beyond the most basic operational parameters.
The Energy Generator is crafted from a combination of mechanical airship parts and processed materials, with the Steamwire Coil being a key ingredient that reflects the steam-mechanical technology aesthetic of Everwind's airship design. It connects to the rest of the airship's systems via Pipe components, distributing power to all connected electrical loads. As more power-hungry components such as the Heating Unit and Cooling Fan are added to the vessel, the Energy Generator's output capacity becomes increasingly important for maintaining stable operation.
Ensure the Energy Generator is positioned centrally within your airship's Hull Block structure so that Pipe runs to all connected components are as short and direct as possible, minimizing potential failure points. Verify that the generator has sufficient capacity for all the electrical loads you plan to add before committing to a component layout, since retrofitting power distribution after the airship frame is built can be cumbersome. When preparing for Desert biome exploration in Zone 3, double-check that both the Cooling Fan and Heating Unit are connected to the generator, as both will be needed in succession across the temperature extremes of different altitude environments.
