Tin Ore

Ore

Tin Ore is a Zone 1 metal ore found primarily in the Starting Meadows and Jungle biomes alongside Copper Ore. Its silvery-grey appearance distinguishes it from the reddish copper deposits nearby. While less visually prominent than copper, tin is a crucial early-game material that players should mine alongside copper whenever they encounter it.

Tin Ore is smelted into Tin Ingot at the Furnace. On its own, the Tin Ingot has limited direct uses, but it plays an irreplaceable role as one of the two required materials for crafting Bronze Ingot. Combining one Copper Ingot and one Tin Ingot at the Furnace produces a Bronze Ingot, making tin essential to unlocking the Bronze crafting tier. Without a steady supply of Tin Ore, players will find their bronze production bottlenecked early in the game.

Because Tin Ore is confined to Zone 1, players should mine it in large quantities before progressing into higher-altitude zones where it no longer appears. A good practice is to mine tin and copper in roughly equal proportions whenever you find them together, since Bronze Ingot requires both in a 1:1 ratio. Setting up a stockpile near your Furnace before pushing into Zone 2 will ensure you always have materials on hand for bronze crafting projects.
