Copper Ore
Ore
Copper Ore is the foundational metal ore of Everwind, found in abundance across Zone 1 (0-400m) in the Starting Meadows and Jungle biomes, and continuing into the lower reaches of Zone 2 (400-900m). It appears as distinctive reddish-brown veins embedded in rock faces and cliff walls. Players will encounter it almost immediately after leaving their starting area, making it the first metal material most survivors will gather.
At the Furnace, Copper Ore is smelted into Copper Ingot, which is the base material for an entire tier of equipment. With the Advanced Weapons skill unlocked, players can forge Copper-tier weapons; with the Advanced Armors skill, they can craft protective Copper-tier armor. Copper Ingot is also used to produce Copper Nail, an important carpentry component, as well as various tools and utility items throughout the early and mid-game.
Copper Ore is plentiful enough that new players should smelt and stockpile Copper Ingots aggressively in the early game, as the material serves double duty as both a standalone crafting resource and one of the two ingredients required for Bronze Ingot (combined with Tin Ingot at the Furnace). Prioritize finding a Furnace early to begin processing your ore. Because copper nodes appear in both Zone 1 and Zone 2, supply rarely becomes an issue, but having a surplus on hand smooths the transition into mid-game crafting tiers.
