Knapped Edges

Knapped Edges are the Stone-tier dagger in Everwind, fashioned from flint or similar knapped stone blades set into a wooden handle. They are crafted at the Crafting Station using stone materials and represent the first meaningful upgrade over the Whittled Stakes for players pursuing the dagger combat path. Endurance is improved compared to Wood-tier options, and damage output increases to reflect the harder cutting edge of the stone blades.

Like all daggers, Knapped Edges reward aggressive playstyles with fast attack cadence and elevated critical hit chance relative to swords or bludgeons of the same tier. No advanced skill unlock is required, making them freely equippable after crafting. They offer one rune slot for permanent customization; socketing the Acceleration rune can push their already-fast attack speed to impressive levels. Upgrades at the Upgrade Station can push them to +10, bridging the gap toward copper-tier alternatives.

Knapped Edges perform well in forested and cave biomes where quick strikes against lightly armored creatures maximize damage output. Players transitioning through the Stone tier will find them competitive alongside the Rock Blade sword and Rock Splitter hatchet. The next step in the dagger chain is the Copper Spikes, which require the Advanced Weapons skill and offer substantially higher base damage for the investment.
