Mortivar Raider
Mortivar
The Mortivar Raider is a light assault unit within the Mortivar civilization, deployed in fast-moving strike teams to harass players and seize resources across the floating islands. Raiders are distinguished from standard Mortivar soldiers by their emphasis on speed and opportunistic aggression, striking from unexpected angles before retreating or pressing the attack in numbers. They are encountered in forest zones and near Mortivar encampment perimeters, often as the first wave of resistance a player will face when approaching occupied territory.
Mortivar Raiders deal 4 to 11 damage per hit, giving them a wider damage variance than many Mortivar units, supported by 60 HP and a notable defense range of 0 to 24, one of the higher defense ceilings among lighter Mortivar combatants. Defeating a Raider yields 40 EXP. The high defense ceiling means some Raiders will require more sustained damage to put down than their HP alone suggests; fire-element attacks remain optimal given the faction's -10% Fire weakness. The Parry Master skill is useful for cutting off Raider attacks before they can land high-variance hits.
Mortivar Raiders fill a skirmishing role in the Mortivar military structure, complementing the heavier line units like the Mortivar Guardian and Mortivar Bonecrusher Squire. Their relatively low EXP reward reflects their status as early-to-mid encounter enemies, but their high defense variance means inexperienced players should not underestimate them. As Mortivar faction members, Raiders share the standard elemental resistances: -10% Fire, -5% Electric, +5% Ice, +5% Poison. Skull trophies are a reliable drop from Raiders and are among the more commonly acquired Mortivar collectibles.
