Everwind Armor and Defense Guide: Best Armor Sets
Date Published

Choosing the right armor in Everwind is just as important as picking your weapons and skills. Your armor determines your physical defense, your mobility, and in some cases your elemental resistance. This guide walks through the armor types available, which sets work best for each skill tree, and how to think about armor progression throughout the game.
Armor Material Tiers
Armor in Everwind is tiered by material: starting with Leather and Fur-based pieces in the early game, progressing through Bronze and Iron metallic armor in the mid game, and culminating in Steel and advanced material sets in the late game. Each tier requires access to the appropriate crafting station and materials, with the Smithing Station handling metal armor production.
Warrior Armor Recommendations
Warrior-focused players should prioritize heavy armor sets that maximize physical defense, since they will be in close-range combat regularly. The Warrior skill tree's Advanced Armors and Master Armor skills further increase armor effectiveness for the Warrior. Shield users should combine heavy chest and leg armor with a mid-weight helmet to keep total weight manageable while maintaining high defense.
Arcanist Armor Recommendations
Arcanist players have the Advanced Armor Arcanist skill in their tree, which makes certain armor sets available that would otherwise be too heavy for a spellcaster. Light armor sets with elemental resistance bonuses are ideal for Arcanists, as they need to avoid damage while maintaining spell casting speed. Robes and enchanted light armor provide the best damage-to-mobility ratio for magic-focused builds.
Shields
Shields provide an additional layer of defense for melee-oriented players. Everwind has five shield types, from basic wooden shields to the elite City Guard's Iron Shield, which provides the highest protection value available. The Warrior skill tree's Parry Master and Agile Parrying skills significantly increase the effectiveness of shields, making them a worthwhile investment for any melee-focused character.
Repair and Maintenance
All armor degrades over time with use. The Primitive Repair Station allows field repairs using basic materials, while the Upgrade Station can repair and enhance equipment simultaneously. Always carry repair materials when venturing into high-danger biomes or dungeons, as arriving at a boss encounter with damaged armor is a common cause of avoidable deaths.
