Mortivar Assassin
Mortivar
The Mortivar Assassin is a swift, close-quarters operative within the Mortivar civilization's military hierarchy. Unlike the straightforward aggression of the Mortivar Warrior, the Assassin relies on speed and flanking maneuvers to close gaps and strike before the player can properly react. These undead-humanoid agents are encountered in forest zones and within the deeper passages of Mortivar-controlled dungeons, where narrow corridors limit escape options.
With a damage output of 6 per strike and a larger health pool of 60 HP, the Mortivar Assassin is more durable than a basic Mortivar Archer and capable of sustained pressure. Defense ranges from 0 to 20, making some encounters with this enemy notably resilient to light attacks, and defeating one yields 45 EXP. Players should exploit the faction's -10% Fire weakness to quickly neutralize Assassins before they can apply pressure; the Parry Master skill from the Warrior tree can interrupt their rapid strike cadence when timed correctly.
The Mortivar Assassin occupies the specialist tier of the Mortivar roster alongside the Mortivar Rogue, filling the role of a lightly-armored, high-mobility skirmisher rather than a line combatant. As a Mortivar unit, it shares the faction's standard elemental resistances: +5% Ice, +5% Poison, -10% Fire, and -5% Electric. Skull trophy drops from this enemy contribute to crafting and decoration systems, and players farming EXP in moderate-difficulty zones will find Assassins an efficient target given their 45 EXP yield.
