Pyrite Ingot
Ingot
Pyrite Ingot is produced by smelting Pyrite Ore at the Furnace. It has a distinctive warm golden color that superficially resembles Gold Ingot, though it is less rare and found at lower altitudes in Zone 2 between 400 and 900 meters. Pyrite Ingot represents a meaningful mid-tier crafting material that bridges the gap between early copper gear and the more advanced iron and steel equipment tiers.
Pyrite Ingot is primarily used in mid-tier weapon crafting, allowing players to upgrade their arsenal beyond early copper tools during the Zone 2 phase of progression. It sits between Copper Ingot and Iron Ingot in the material hierarchy, offering improved weapon performance for players who have reached the Russet Forest biome but have not yet accumulated significant iron resources. It fills a valuable niche in the overall crafting progression flow.
Players transitioning from Zone 1 to Zone 2 should prioritize finding Pyrite Ore deposits early in their mid-altitude exploration. Smelting a reserve of Pyrite Ingots before moving deeper into Zone 2 ensures you have crafting materials available for weapon upgrades while you search for the more critical Iron Ore deposits. Do not waste Pyrite Ingots on projects that could wait for iron or steel, but do use them freely for weapons during the phase when iron is still scarce.
